Wondering what requirments there are to become a mortgage broker in Ohio. I am looking to work this industry on the side, as I already have a full time sales job. Also what are the typical commisions paid to brokers for sub-prime, prime, and jumbo Landlord mortgage loans...is this split with the company you work for? I already work 100% commission, so that is not a problem. Any input on this career is greatly appreciated, ie the ups and downs.

Re: Woman Sells Blog for $95,000 in Time of Crisis

Wow. What a great story and should be inspiration for other bloggers who plan to sell their blog during a bunk economy.

Re: Woman Sells Blog for $95,000 in Time of Crisis

Wow, I wonder if it is all true then? Did she really sell that blog for that much? How much traffic did that blog have when it was sold, I wonder. I didn't even know you could sell or buy blogs. The things I am learning!

Angela

Re: Woman Sells Blog for $95,000 in Time of Crisis

You know, that's a hell of a good catch. If that's true, even I didn't know that. Where did you see that she's with B5Media? On their website?

Chriss last blog post..Galactic Alignment: December 21, 2012 - Fact, Fiction or Just Marketing?

Re: Woman Sells Blog for $95,000 in Time of Crisis

Hang on...she's an Editor for B5Media along with Darren Rowse who wrote the book she just happened to buy and read and that just happens to be touted all over this site (and you're an affiliate of). Next thing you'll be telling me is that the people who bought the blog were...B5Media. This smells of "South Sea Bubble" to me.

Re: Woman Sells Blog for $95,000 in Time of Crisis

95K is unreal! In fact, in this economy, ANYTHING that actually MAKES money in marketable.

Re: Woman Sells Blog for $95,000 in Time of Crisis

Hrmmm.... It seems that this is a personal blog. So are they going to keep blogging as her? Or maybe hire her to write posts? Or maybe they will just leave it as is with ads until it rots. When I make a blog to sell, I try to make it less personal and about a certain topic. This seems to be evidence that personal blogs are marketable as well.

Re: Woman Sells Blog for $95,000 in Time of Crisis

Wow, what a great story and quite inspirational. It has been one heck of a year, that's for sure.

I've been working from home for ten years and know how hard it can be at times to fight the desire to throw in the towel - but I urge everyone, fight that urge, give it time. Great things do happen when you have the will to keep trying.
