The reason there's a quality score is the same reason if you complain at McDonalds you'll get a free burger. If you're not disappointed in the results, you'll use them again. If you click on an ad as opposed to organic, and you get your question answered, then you'll use the ppc ads again and therefore, long term, make more money.
